Rock Bottom

The bleeding does not stop. Not even a lot of amputations could save this team. Swift and harsh cleansing of the team might shake up these jokers into actually caring. I think the manager and all his staff need to go ASAP. Let that be the first shoe to fall. Looking at the record and recent boneheaded managerial moves surely should seal Trembley & Co.'s fate.

In terms of upgrading the roster, I say get rid of dead weight now. Guys who are bums and not worth the effort. If I were MacPhail, I would eat some salary and cut loose the dregs. Plus it will show people that you really mean business and that winning is more important than just barely trying. Looking at our 40 man roster, I would advocate that Atkins, Koji, Gonzalez, Lugo, Meredith, and Albers get cut. Not sent to the minors but just plain let go. See ya. Take your check and leave.

Makes room for new guys coming up and gives other pitchers that chance to be converted to relievers from the rotation so Tillman and Arrieta can begin their MLB journeys. Radical change needs to happen. We have been dealing with the same pig slop for 13 years. I want to see a difference.

Oriole Park at Camden Yards is still the crown jewel of MLB. Recent improvements have made it even better, if you can imagine that. The current baseball product that we are given is not worthy of playing in such a venue. These Birds are more of a Veterans or Shea Stadium sort of team meaning crap performances belong in a dump. After a decade of excuses and bad product, I for one am very hot under the collar and at the end of my rope when it comes to fan devotion.

We keep waiting for this team to improve. And still it sputters. A long road trip may make it even worse.

Yoda says: do, or do not; there is no try. Apparently this team fails at that too.
