After taking two from the Braves this weekend with an offensive explosion Saturday and Sunday, the Orioles dug themselves an early grave last night in the loss to the visiting Mets.

Combine Guthrie's poor pitching after the 4th inning, a few errors, and stranding several Orioles runners and you will always come up short. We looked lackluster to say the least and with Jeremy now at 4-7 (he is the staff ace) our future is a bit dim at the moment.

The Mets are very beatable. They are a team the implodes very easily and taking the next two games is not that big of a challenge for the Birds. We need those bats to get hot and to avoid making crucial errors in the field.

Tonight there should be a big crowd since it is Adam Jones bobble head night and former Mets pitcher Dwight Gooden is appearing at Sports Legends Museum. Lets hope to get back in the win column in front of a big crowd.

More later in the week.
